The project comprised the development and building design of a temporary arrival hall, including immigration facilities, at Braunschweig–Wolfsburg Airport. The new arrival facility was realised as a simple tent structure, providing essential protection and shelter for arriving passengers while ensuring a functional and efficient processing environment.
The measure was successfully implemented and is currently in use for Non-Schengen immigration processes as well as baggage claim operations for both Schengen and Non-Schengen arrivals. Despite its temporary nature, the solution delivers a robust and clearly structured passenger flow arrangement within the airport’s operational setting.
Our services included architectural planning (HOAI phases 1–4) for the new arrival hall, the preparation and submission of the building permit application, as well as the development of various overview plans illustrating passenger flows across the entire airport.
